The BDVL Method

4 PILLARS,
ONE SYSTEM

"I don't drill technique in isolation. I practice real game situations at full speed — so the player himself feels the need to change."

"Maximizing players' strengths and bringing their weaknesses to a solid level — that is the goal."

In individual sessions I go through game situations that frequently occur at professional level — in 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 relationships (small-sided games). The focus is on decision-making and basketball IQ development at high speed and quality.

Not isolated technical drills — but real game situations where decisions matter. These sessions are available for those who work with me in person in Târgu Mureș.

Analysis · Plans · Consultations

"A player can improve even when not working with me — but I analyze their games and correct their mistakes."

Over time the player learns from these videos "what I am actually looking for" — and within themselves the desire for change is born, the desire to study their own games.

Setting progress plans is a serious program — I sit down each week and discuss where we are, what is worth improving, what to focus on in the next period. Consultations are mentoring, observations, mental coaching.

Profiling & Career Plan
Reality Check · Career Plan

"I don't sell the basketball dream — I bring people back to reality."

In profiling I classify a player according to my own method: where they stand relative to the international level, where they can get to, and what they need to do to get there. I'm aided by analytics and statistics-based observation, my own eyes, my own instincts, and the player's realistic self-image.

The career plan is a guide that helps the player advance step by step toward their self-determined goal. Determining the "upside" is a more refined form of prediction.

"A lot goes into this — but above all I want to build a good community. Sharing knowledge is mandatory."

Where can the player reach?

I don't promise what I can't back up. But I help you understand what is truly possible.

01
Assessment & Profiling

I watch them in a game, analyze — and honestly tell them where they stand against the international standard.

02
Development Plan

Based on SWOT analysis I identify 2-3 key areas. Every session and every video focuses on these.

03
Recruitment & Visibility

Highlight video compilation, preparation for tryouts, concrete opportunities through my network.

04
Reaching the Target Level

Romanian and Hungarian first division, European pro league, NCAA path — strategy adapted to the goal.

Domestic League

NB1 (Hungarian), Liga Națională (Romanian) — realistic target for mature, developable players.

European Pro

Second and third leagues in Europe — realistic goal for players with the right attributes and commitment.

NCAA Path

American college system — highlight video, connections and realistic self-knowledge required.
